Pizzettes! another wonderful Flour Moment!
At long last the tomatoes are rolling in, the fruit of the summer. So there is always something to be done with them, canning, eating straight from the garden making salsa (several different kinds and a bag of chips and you have a party) but one of my favorites is Pizzettes. And oh so easy.
First you put your hair under a hat, put on sunglasses and sneak into the freezer department of the grocery store and buy frozen dinner roll dough balls, very important not to let anyone see you or you will be making the dough from scratch.
When you get home place the dough on the counter let thaw about 15 min and then flatten them into disc. Brush with pesto (easily found in grocery store or sighhhhhhhh make your own and not get out to enjoy the summer fun as fast) top with mozzarella a slice of Tomato grind fresh pepper on it and bake at 350 degrees for about 15-18 minutes and instant Summer Appetizer! That easy!! And so great to serve with drinks any leftovers make a good lunchbox addition but I find they go fast! Enjoy.
Again without the verbiage:
Pizzettes:
Flattened frozen roll dough
Sliced tomato
Pesto
Mozzarella or I like Feta as well
Black pepper
Bake.
You will love it and so easy!!
