Recipe and Fall Tips!
Fall is here and it’s time for sprucing up the house and making it warm and cozy for the Long winter evenings to come. Add some pillows, or a fabulous throw to add a small change. Or a luscious wool carpet to add warmth to the cool floors and some lovely lined silk draperies to keep the drafts out. The changes can be small and you will still achieve an update. Add a lamp on the small desk in the corner or rearrange the bookshelf. Then cuddle up on the sofa and enjoy a cup of hot tea and Cayenne Shortbread Cookies…. Winter has truly arrived, enjoy!
Cayenne Shortbread Cookies from the National Cathedral Tea Room
Mix:
3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2 sticks butter
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 cup whipping cream, buttermilk or milk
Roll out very thin and cut into desired shape. Brush with egg wash. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
