Butter Tarts for the holiday drop ins

The holidays are approaching the unexpected company popping in as they have been out shopping and were in your area!  Oh my something easy and memorable to serve with hot coffee and tea… what could be easy and memorable??  Butter Tarts of course.  With prep time and baking 30minutes of your time and they Freeze perfectly!  So have them in the Freezer and then while the coffee is brewing or the tea water is on to boil pull them out of the freezer and by the time the coffee is ready you will have a memorable sweet to serve with it.  SO Easy!!

 

BUTTER TARTS FOR THE TARTS! J

 

Butter Tarts

 

3/4 Cup of Butter (yes the real stuff)

1 cup lightly packed brown sugar

1 cup corn syrup

1 teaspoon of Vanilla

1 cup of golden raisins

1/2 teaspoon of Salt

2 eggs beaten

24 tart shells ( found in the freezer dept)

 

In a bowl cream butter sugar syrup vanilla and salt then stir in eggs and raisins.  Fill tart shells almost full and bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes…….. cool and enjoy! OR cool and freeze!
