Atop a mountain in Blacksburg Virgina this couple who have a love of Hawaii wanted to bring in some natural elements that reminded them of the islands. So on the floor is a Natural Carpet made of Abaca (the fiber from a banana tree) with texture and interest they have a slice of the islands right there in the mountains.

In Virgina Beach There is a beautiful custom home where the Home owners collected art work of tropical fish. To enhance their collection the stairway was made into a waterfall. Three shades of tourquoise were puddled on each step and then ran down the risers ending in an irregular shaped lagoon. When looking down into the lagoon you can see the tops of tropical fish swimming carefree through out, rocks, seaweed and sea urchins. You are truly only limited by your imagination.

Virginia Tech custom blinds

Here in the Roanoke Valley everyone is a fan of Virginia Tech. This customer on Strawberry Mountain wanted to show their spirit in a room dedicated to VT.

So we ordered them their team logo for the blinds for an added punch of color.

The Ocean in Blacksburg VA?

This rug representing the ocean sits in the Hallway in a beautiful home in Blacksburg VA. The couple that own the home have a collection of bronze artwork and soon an eight foot bronze whale will sit on this Custom Hand Tufted wool rug made in the United States . the center represents sand and is a tight loop while the ocean waves are done in a cut pile and lightly carved to give interest to the rug.

Notice also that we pulled the same colors from the Ocean and made a corresponding stairway runner.
